Your USD → PHP guide
Think about how the money arrives.
For a transfer from the US to the Philippines, the receiving method can be as important as the peso amount. Start by asking whether the recipient needs money in an account or another supported payout method. Then compare providers using that same method; otherwise the apparent price difference may be comparing different services.
If a provider offers collection or a wallet payout for your transfer, confirm the recipient requirements and access before paying. Ask about any collection limits, identification requirements or withdrawal charges shown in the provider’s instructions. Do not assume every advertised payout option is available for your amount and location.
What affects the total cost?
The exchange rate and the transfer fee work together. For the same total USD spend, look at the final PHP receipt rather than comparing the fee alone. Check whether funding by your chosen method changes the cost, and whether any bank or recipient charge is outside the quote.
Compare quotes close together in time. If you return later, refresh the figures before acting. A promotional quote may have conditions, including eligibility or an amount limit; read those conditions before building it into your budget.
