Your GBP → PKR guide
Plan around the amount your family needs.
For a payment from the UK to Pakistan, compare the rupee receipt after fees using the same sterling spend. If a provider advertises an introductory offer, check its eligibility and limits separately from the ordinary quote. A regular family-support budget should account for what later transfers may cost.
Confirm whether the recipient wants an account payment or another method offered for their location. For collection, check the provider’s identification and access instructions before sending. For account delivery, verify the beneficiary details directly with the recipient and review the estimated arrival time against their deadline.
What affects the total cost?
The exchange rate and the transfer fee work together. For the same total GBP spend, look at the final PKR receipt rather than comparing the fee alone. Check whether funding by your chosen method changes the cost, and whether any bank or recipient charge is outside the quote.
Compare quotes close together in time. If you return later, refresh the figures before acting. A promotional quote may have conditions, including eligibility or an amount limit; read those conditions before building it into your budget.
